It’s finally here! Our first-ever e3 Energy Evolved “Nutrition Truth or Trend” Tuesday.
We’ve received quite a few questions from all of you over the past few weeks (thank you!) who are already members of our online exclusive e-newsletter community and have sent your questions into us through our e-newsletter submit your questions section.
But, we could only choose one, and it’s a really great question from Kristin in Kaysville, Utah who is a personal trainer and athlete struggling with her own wellness, and unsure how to restore healthy systemic endocrine function along some other wellness concerns of hers, while remaining committed to her fitness.

“I have been diagnosed with hypothalamic amenorrhea [loss of menstrual cycle or period] where my pituitary gland has shut down and I do not produce Progesterone or Estrogen.
I feel fatigued and run down and know my metabolism is screwed up. I am an endurance athlete, personal trainer and LOVE to workout, but I have decreased my cardio workouts by 70% or so and am hoping to heal.
I have just started hormone therapy as my bone density scan shows I’m mildly low, so I’m just wondering hot to go about healing safely and being able to continue my active lifestyle?”

Amenorrhea for our readers who may not know is very common in active women, including athletes, personal trainers and fitness enthusiasts, which is an imbalance in the female body that can commonly occur when their body is over used metabolically, they’re often not meeting the demands they’re placing on their body effectively enough through their nutrition and other forms of support, and they have yet uncovered nutritional and systemic deficiencies that still need to be naturally corrected.
